When your best friend of 20 years asks you to photograph their engagement photos, the only answer is a resounding “YES”. Sean proposed to Talena at the finish line of the marathon they ran together.

Yes, Sean ran all 26.2 miles with the ring on him — NBD, right?

Days after the engagement, we connected in Stowe, Vermont, to capture their engagement photos. The photos captured in Green Mountain State meant a lot to the couple. It’s where they got engaged and where Talena ran her first and second marathons. A quintessential red cover bridge made the perfect backdrop for their session. It was a morning full of joy, dancing, and toast of bubbly left over from their engagement party.

I’ve worked with a lot of couples over the years, but this one was the first photoshoot with a dear friend—one whom I’ve known since 3rd grade!! It made me appreciate how many special moments I get to be part of, all thanks to photography. Congratulations to Talena and Sean!
